Choose your Plane of Evolution!
The plane of spiritual evolution is therefore defined as the degree at which we ascend to human through the animal and lower planes of evolution. Assimilation with the animal kingdom is only a step along the way to realizing our human potential. Light!
Where are the Vitamins?
The vitamins? That’s where the color is! That’s where the light has been! See this! The upper 25% of a carrot closer to the light of the day contains over 65% of the vitamins and minerals. The skin of a potato has all the color and therefore all the vitamins as well. The pulp is carbohydrate. Small potatoes are better because they have a higher percentage of skin to pulp. In a manner of speaking more of it has seen the light! The skin of a potato and the upper portion of a carrot color for color, contain all the vitamins and minerals for pigment and hair coloring. Carrot is a hard vegetable so it should be grated when eaten raw to make it as consistent to chew as most other salad vegetables.
Lettuce and tomato need be a staple in any diet and appear on almost every menu anywhere in the world, and that’s not surprising because between them they contain over 65% of all the vitamins and minerals the body needs. The first things to grow when establishing a vegetable garden are the reds and the greens, lettuce, tomato and herbs. Three quarters of the entire vitamin needs in three basic things! Open green leafy lettuce is the best. The more color, the more vitamins and minerals because again more of the plant has seen the light. Vine ripened tomatoes will be naturally redder and richer, containing more complete nutrition. The outer, green parts of celery also. The leaves of beetroot, onion, and turnip are also higher in nutrition than the tuber, cook them like spinach. Turnip greens are great eaten raw with salad. Eat as much as possible picked ripe from vine, tree, or bush. Once a fruit has reached two thirds or three-quarters, to full color, it can be picked. Vine ripened tomatoes contain a broader and deeper range of nutrition than any fruit or vegetable on earth, and although I’ve mentioned them here last, I place them first on the menu with raw salad, or cooked, in at least 4 meals every week.
Vegetables that grow Above the Ground.
Two thirds and possibly three-quarters (due to man-made hybrids), of all vegetables grow above the ground. This shows a perfect balance in nature, exactly what the human body needs. Two thirds to three-quarters of all the vegetables we eat should be from above the ground.
What has seen the light is always better for a healthy body!
Herbs!
Herbs are an essence of aroma and flavor unparalleled anywhere in the vegetable kingdom.
Requiring no ripening to be consumed, they provide a concentrated, life force energy.
They grow rapidly and abundantly, and are invaluable in dietary medicine.
The whole plant, leaves, flowers, tender stems and sometimes roots can be used.
They can be grown in small shady spaces as well as open sunny spots, and grow just as well in pots. Where you have no space for a garden, (and growing your own is best), you can always make space for pots of herbs. Kitchen windowsills, balconies and verandahs and every time you cook you have something fresh picked to put in the meal.
Growing 25 kinds of herb and consuming them through the seasons provides the total spectrum of vital nutrition and indeed medicine, from this concentrated and versatile food source.
Historically civilizations like the Mayan, Babylonian and Egyptian have always supplemented with fresh herbs where vegetables were not so abundant. Herbs are magical when incorporated into the body fresh. Even three or four kinds are great.
Other Regenerative Foods. Natures Preservatives.
The best regenerative foods are the ones that require minimum or no digestion, and give maximum nutrition and energy. These foods create less waste in the body, because they’re easy on the assimilations. My favorite is from the Edgar Cayce readings, because, besides being highly nutritious, it also illustrates a perfect balance between acid and alkaline forming foods in combination. Edgar Cayce gave us this recipe from a dream he had, where an Egyptian mummy awoke and appeared to him and showed him how to prepare a mixture of 50/50 fine chopped Assyrian dates and figs. Cook in water with a palm full of corn or wheat meal, and serve hot or cold with milk. He called this recipe ‘mummy food’.
Versatility and the ability to provide maximum nutrition for a minimum input, creating minimum waste, are the keys to efficient diet and cellular regeneration. When the body does a minimum amount of work to provide what is needed, more energy can be used to build and repair! The significance and symbolism of the mummy are the qualities of preservation and rejuvenation. The basic ingredients give us the direction that we need to find these regenerative foods that on the greater part are sugar based. In this case fruit sugar, the date and fig being the most concentrated. (Note that we add water with the recipe, and just enough wholemeal grain to give 25% solidity and acidity without overpowering the taste or the alkalinity of the fruit). Apple and rhubarb with honey or natural maple syrup added after cooking, with a roasted apple on top, served on wheat cakes with milk and cream will create a similar effect. Rhubarb is one of the few fruits or vegetables that are acid forming in the body.
Gelatin used with salad dressing creates the same situation with raw vegetables. Gelatin is a unique protein similar to carbohydrate that due to its solubility enables the body to efficiently store, transport and transform the vitamins and minerals in raw vegetable, and those stored in the body. It also preserves a salad by soaking up the juices and keeping the air off it. Just a couple of teaspoons mixed with the dressing. Like alcohol it needs no digesting to be assimilated as it forms like a sugar when combined with sugar foods, so it can be absorbed instantly, providing immediate energy for digestion, and instant stimulation of the palate. Raw vegetables require more work to digest than cooked, so gelatin is perfect, just add oil, salt and lemon juice for a perfect dressing. Use gelatin often with stewed fruits and fruit deserts as well as with fruit salads. Dates and figs are the most concentrated. Natures’ remarkable preservatives!
Salads are best eaten in the middle of the day. Every day have at least one raw and one cooked vegetable meal, and combine small amounts of meat, carbohydrate etc. Have more when needed and where possible.
Grape sugar also requires no digestion and can be instantly absorbed. Red grapes are better as they contain a greater diversity and quantity of nutrition. Red grapes eaten with other fruits will provide the energy required for digesting those fruits.
Filling the Tank!
A car won’t run for long on an empty tank, nor will the human body! For this very reason breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The awakening hours are critical because we can seize control of ourselves and mold good habits that set the correct pace and ‘flow’ of the day. The same applies for the retiring hours in setting the correct pace for the body to rest and recharge. The alkaline foods are best taken earlier in the day because they get the body moving on the inside. The acid foods incorporated more in the middle to the end of the day provide a better grounding for sleep.
In the final analysis it’s better to eat something than eat nothing; better to eat something good for you than something that isn’t; and best to have the good things in the best combinations. Some things aren’t good. Some are good. Some are better. Some are best!
Fill your tank before you drive, and always leave something in the tank! The way we begin is how we end!
Gently does it!
Slow and gradual change is best in the majority of cases, providing minimum or ‘no-shock’ to the body. As mentioned in exercise and activity, incorporate more of the passive nature. (Again the 75% majority). Patient, slow, consistent deliberation brings trust and inner peace, and goes hand in hand with gentle, gradual action. The flame that burns slow and steady burns the longest. Inner peace is an advantage of patient action in all things, and is a major ingredient in healthy regeneration and longevity. Take time to eat, work, exercise and rest, and take your time - to enjoy! Don’t over work, over think, or over strain in any way.
Tai chi and specific yoga exercises have been invaluable to me in helping to channel my compulsive and obsessive active nature.
Observing the Seven, the Three-Quarters Majority.
The three-quarters majority that constitutes the human body the earth and the solar center is not only relative to sunlight and the regeneration and growth that occurs during the day, but also to the moon and its gravitational pull, and the resuscitation and restfulness that occurs during the night. This manifests in the ability of the moon to increase and decrease the flow of water to rejuvenate and restore.
Silent energy from the moon, both in its gravity and ability to reflect sunlight, coordinates an increase and decrease in the bodily eliminations. Paramount to this effect on the body and the earth through water is the effect upon regeneration of cells and tissue, and the rejuvenation of vital life force energy. Of course the less energy spent on elimination, the more can be spent on building and maintenance. In nature when the moon keeps the water moving, the possibility of becoming stagnant is reduced. Yet, concerning regeneration of body cells and rejuvenation of vital life force energy let me be very clear.
It is clear that the body, emotions and mind, can only take six days of any sustained activity, before the regenerative power, the ability to recharge, is lost, and the clarity of mind, emotions and body, is compromised!
There are 28 days in the lunar cycle, four quarters of seven that provide for the renewal of the physical and electrical forces that are conducted through water. It is essential to completely rest one day out of every quarter lunar cycle, the same day every week, for discipline is consistency that allows in this case an equal FOUNDATION for recharging, to achieve a ‘uniform’ electrical state, and a relaxed physical state; relative to what? Water!
The moon as a channel for electrical vibrations from the sun affects the water in our bodies like a wet cell battery. When the moon is full the battery can receive a full charge, and the flow can peak. When the moon decreases there’s a diminished current or channel. Acid/alkaline balance will also affect this electrical flow, diluting or over-concentrating the water to mineral ratio. Body flow is up in the third to fourth quarters when the moon becomes full. It’s well documented that most hemorrhages, bleeding and ulcers occur during this increase in activity and it’s during this time that systems already heavily congested become blocked. The number seven represents the three-quarters majority, in the decimal system, seven out of ten; the word Sabbath in Arabic literally meaning the number seven! When our work/activity (external diet) is out of balance with rest, dominating that same majority, then by the very law of nature we create a system of imbalances, for water always finds that equilibrium, that balance, and comes naturally to a position of rest!
Extremes are caused through obsession, claiming many of the great men and women of the last century. Over eating, over drinking, over exercising and activity, over worrying, over exerting the mind, over indulging the emotions, over stimulating, over doing anything, mind, spirit or body! You wouldn’t eat the same food every day would you, so take a break from what? How about everything except breathing! It has been mentioned and it should be clear by now, that imbalance in any area of life affects the whole being when left uncorrected. Correct rest allows this ‘correction’ to happen without us having to do anything! After all, that is the idea! That’s why the Sabbath seven has been called nature’s rest, or God’s rest, as relaxing allows elimination, and flexing creates a need for assimilation.
It’s by far more holistic to be well rounded and have a selection of activities and interests that allow us to develop the self broadly, without limitation. When all the energies pour into one area of our lives, we create neglect in other areas. Balance is at the center of all naturally occurring functions. A days rest every week, the same day every week, (consistency, for rest is a discipline), is essential for rejuvenation, but two days is better because it’s closer to the 75% majority. The purpose is, being clear in mind, body and emotions.
Women live longer than men do on average because their reproductive cycle coordinates with the phases of the moon, to provide an extra function of elimination for the body in a women’s menstrual cycle. This is necessary because the childbearing women needs to provide eliminations for two and sometimes more bodies at one time. (Although the indication here is woman live a longer average life span because of increased flow). The role of the mother of creation, completely embodied in the human family, will be the subject of further volumes in this work.
Rest means total mind, body and emotions. The word unwind is more than relevant. When we don’t rest we wind up the mental, emotional and physical systems of the body till the weakest point breaks. Flexing for too long will not allow the relaxation necessary for elimination. In the same hands, relaxing for too long will not provide the reason for assimilating.
When the body is tired, strained, weakened, stressed, ill, damaged, showing signs of pain or common cold, the first thing to do is REST! Allow nature the chance to do its job!
The Seven Year Cycle and Total Cellular Regeneration.
Every atom, molecule, cell, organ, tissue and system in the body is replaced within seven years, coordinating with the moon’s rejuvenate and the sun’s regenerative influence through water. Seven represents the universal majority that embodies the ‘patient’ nature of universal law, law meaning the same throughout the levels of creation that we call ‘time’ and ‘space’, from the principle of solar energy, to the creation of life on earth.
For those who would command greater ambition, the discipline of the Sabbath can be extended through the years, so that every seventh year put aside for rest will complement and complete the process of rejuvenation, the foundation of which is established in the lunar month. Even the land should be rested and not worked every seventh year, minimum. The word Sabbath, the number seven, represents the essence, the spirit, water. Seven-tenths, or three-fourths of everything! Two days rest every week is better; closer to the universal majority. The day before can be used for a day of preparation, to organize food for the family and do those things that allow you to take a whole day off to be closer to nature.
Three quarters of the sun is potential water. The moon effects, through its gravitational force and ability to reflect sunlight, a resuscitating influence on earth. The human body and the earth reflect the same universal law, the one law that follows all the way through creation.
Observe- SEVEN, the three-quarter’s majority, all the way through!
Summing up.
The combinations rather than the food types are more critical. Trust your stomach!
There are only a few things you should never do in diet. Replacing uncreative habits with creative ones is what should be done, slowly and gradually.
Replacing animal fats with vegetable oils is a step in a healthy direction. Some meat creates less work for the body to do, creating less stress on the eliminatory systems so they are easier and cleaner.
The vegetable plane of evolution is in-line with human evolution, so choose your plane of evolution!
The vitamins and minerals are where the color is, where the light has been, the top of a carrot, the skin of a potato, etc.
Herbs are concentrated life force energy.
Most vegetables grow above the ground, where the light is, so eat three quarters of all from above the ground.
The best regenerative foods contain natural unprocessed sugar that requires minimum or no digestion, giving a maximum amount of energy, and creating minimum waste.
Fill the tank then drive. Eat then work.
Slow and gradual change is always best. Even the Moon and Sun take seven years to completely rejuvenate the body.
Rest! Pick a minimum of one day every week, the same day, and completely unwind. Use the time to be closer to nature and give to others. Take time to be one with nature. Two days is better, closer to the three-quarters majority!
Curing Disease.
As this work is designed mainly for prevention, it’s well to know that the cure for cancer and all disease is prevention, eliminating the possibility of disease and the fear of it! In the west one in three people will contract some form of cancer before they reach their mid seventies, so we are dealing with a widespread problem that will affect a majority. It’s remarkable for such a broad and devastating disease that prevention can be as simple as two to four raw almonds, (depending on body weight), eaten every day. The theory is that although the almond is alkaline forming, it requires acid for assimilation, like other nuts, therefore absorbing excess acid already in the body and providing a daily flush. Especially good for the liver.
Get into the discipline of taking a few fresh unroasted almonds with lunch or breakfast. Plenty of almonds can be eaten from time to time, three times more than all other nuts as the almonds are alkaline forming, and the body will eliminate easily what it uses.
